I am sure everyone is excited to hear of a newbie comming to the dark side. In any case, I will give you my two cents. But for more indepth info, ask YugoBernie(NoVa) He's great on here. What to look for in a Z. I used to own a 90 z32TT. From 90 to 92 I believe there were some problems with the master brake cylinder, transmission gears being a softer metal, prone to grinding. Hydrolic Hicas in the early model, then switched to electric. ( I am not sure about the latter years if they fixed the problem, but Yugo Bernie should know.) In the TT's the ideal model year is 94 and 95. The 96 model year utilized the OBDII sensor which knocked about 20 HP off. As for pricing, you will have to post a few of them on here for us to look at and then we can give you an estimate, but for low mileage, IE 30K to 50K you can expect to pay up to 12K to 20K. For the turbos, it all depends how well the original owner took care of the vehicle. Did he to the 60K, 90K or 120K service intervals. If at all possible, look for a vehicle with its tag records( Service records ) When your ready to buy, this vehicle isnt the kick the tires type deal. Test drive the vehicle and get it warm. Try to park the vehicle on pavement to check for any leaks, open the hood and smell for anything. Ie fuel, coolant(Sweet smell), oil. While ideling, check for any smoke from the pipes and any heavy black residue. It could mean oil leak in the turbos. White or light gray smoke is fine, just condensation, drk gray or blk means oil. Hope this helps, I am probably wrong on a few things, but the guys on here are great.
